May 20, 2024 Meeting: Membership Votes on Board Members

Our May 20 meeting will begin with the annual Membership vote on the slate of proposed Board members. In last month’s Newsletter we introduced you to three Chapter members who have volunteered to join the Board: Matt Franks, Mary Glanville, and Megan Smithyman. The slate also includes the following Board members who have agreed to continue: Tim Bray, President; David Jensen, Vice-President; Jim Havlena, Treasurer; Roger Adamson, Secretary; and Pam Huntley, Education Chair. Any Chapter member may also nominate someone for the Board during the meeting.

This Chapter business normally takes only a few minutes and then we will proceed to the excellent presentation featuring Dr. Allen Fish of the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory. As further reward for your participation in this important business, we will have a selection of matted photographs from the late Ron LeValley to give away, and a collection of books about birds. Our By-Laws require a minimum of 20 active Chapter members be present to vote at the meeting, so please consider attending if you can.
